Ive heard of it, but upon trying to search for it on the forums and on Mazdatrix's site, I cant find anything.
Im removing my ABS right now, and if there was a nice kit to do it all, thatd be great... Or, does anyone have pictures of their ABS removal and how they routed the lines? |
i was gonna remove mine, then i decided it will probably save my ass some day.
why do you want to take it out anyways? |

oh .. :( that sucks. Find a junk yard fc and pull its brake lines, put them in yours and scrap the pump. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR

they make a kit but it's pretty crappy. it's just a "T" and a couple lines. which sits right where the abs unit was and takes up the same amount of space.
it's cheap though. like $30. I think they have an SS version too for more. |
I removed my ABS and just went to the local parts store and bought some line, fittings, and a T. Make sure you either rent or buy a flare tool. The rear line on the firewall will just get cut, bent, and routed to the R port on the stock proportioning valve....then simply T the front two lines together and run the third T line to the F on the proportioning valve. And you are done. Or if you want you can buy a Wilwood Brake Balance Controller....that is what I did when I removed the ABS on my FD. But for my TII I just did it this way.

The only one that will still work is the factory non ABS prebent rear brake line and it is just alot cheaper and easier to simply bend the factory line. Plus the non ABS lines are pretty hard to find from a dealership...I had ordered some and one line had to come from Hawaii and the other line was from some other out of state dealership....so be prepared for a wait to get them, I had to wait a little over a week, then I found out they wouldn't work anyways. |
This is the email i got from mazdatrix awhile ago..
There isn't a part number, you can phone in your order, or include it in the comment field of an online parts order. There isn't a way to order it alone online. The price is $28.51 |
