Ok so ABS pump was very leaky and i was losing a lot of fluid.

Removed it hoping it would stop my brake fluid problems, now last night i drove and checked and the line from master cylinder to joint block was leaking a bit and i noticed some missing fluid from master cylinder. Figured it was due to the loose line, so i tightened it and it no longers leaks.

Today I'm driving pretty hard (shot a huge *** flame that lit up the highway behind me and stayed lit for a while, no pop noise just like two spotlights from the back of my car for like 5 seconds) and I get home and let the car cool down (turbo was pushing hard so i let it idle whenever i do that).

I'm joyous in finding no smoke coming from the turbo area due to no more brake fluid leaking onto that super hot area. I check the master cylinder reservoir just to be sure and like 1/4 of it is gone. I was like "oh ****" so i check the joint block, no leaks. Go back and check the master cylinder (which i checked before but thought the fluid around it was some i spilled) and as i looked closer i think it's leaking from where it meets the brake booster. Knowing my luck i doubt it's just the gasket (but is it normally just the gasket?).

So I found mazdatrix has a master cylinder rebuild kit on their website:

BRAKE MASTER CYL KIT 89-92 TURBO 43-41ZA-CAY5 $73.24

Are they the only ones that have it and is that a fair price? What comes in the kit? I've rebuilt a couple master cylinders before but not with new pieces (practice basically) so I figure it wont be too hard. or should i just save up $170-ish and get a new master cylinder?

If i do get a new master cylinder should i get one made for the abs system (which i just removed) or go to the $130-ish one that is for non-abs cars (i think the fittings are different sizes tho, am i correct?)

sorry for the detailed msg lol.

remember the rebuild kit doesn't include the resiouvior so you'll need to keep that and replace the o rings

also make sure that it isn't leaking around your calipers somewhere your best bet would be to have someone that is signed up for mazda competition order you one, becuase there are no aftermarket kits really. and you could get a new master cylinder for the price of a rebuikld kit almost.

come to think of it, what model do you have s4 or s5? I have a s4 rebuilt one from mazda sitting in my garage for a tII, but I had planned on using it sometime in the future, I might have a reciept for how much i paid
