man!... damnit! more problems... i need some help
alright so after 2 months in the garage my car is finally on the raod and i drove it tonight... my second time ever driving the car... its an 86 base, that ive spend about 3 grand on so far. so heres the problems... first time i drove the car... over a few months ago.. it had the 3800 rpm stall **** happing. so i put 2, 4 gauge grounding wires from the - battery terminal to the strut tower, one from intake to strut tower, one from back of throttle body to firewall... and i thought what would help it but its still doing it. what else should i ground? i heard you can ground the wires on the secondary injectors (they are brand new injectors by the way) but wich wires are the ground wires?.... ok problem number 2. drove the car to put some gas in it, and it ran fine all the way to the gas station, put gas in it and drove it back and on the way back it woudlnt idle for ****. it kept trying to save itself but eventually would die. hince the "vrooooooom blabla vrooooooom blabla..." i put on topic description... so anyway... we turned the idle screw a whole hell of a lot and it idled fine at about 600 and stayed good... so its fixed for now but what the heck? its not like the idle screw can all the sudden turn itself down, i know its something else but that solved the problem for right now i guess
Vacuum leaks... what else have you done to the motor/or what else has been done to it before you got it?
Check all your vacuum lines, replace them w/ silicon ones... check your fuel filter, make sure its clean or new..etc... other than that, w/out knowing more about the car, I don't know what else to suggest...
