Racing beat is too quiet and expensive in my opinion. I'm eyeing the corksport single $295, and the RP dual $395. I would really like to keep the dual setup mainly for looks.

I have the RP dual... It sounds good, no rice but you have a header and I have the RB pipe... I ordered the Corksport too last week since I wanted stainless on the one car and need to swap the RP to my other which has a rotting stock exhaust.

You can save $100 by just getting the Dynomax catback from Summit for $295. Its the same thing as the RP (I've had both). The RP is just painted black.

I also noticed, while holding both the stock setup and the rb setup, that the rb was much lighter. Also, I think the header dissipates heat much quicker. While doing something under the hood, I noticed the header was cool to the touch, but my transmission was still quite warm.

As for the head shields, I got those off when I had my UIM and LIM off. That's about the only time in my life I really thought ahead.

Glad to hear you like it!

ouch, I don't want any rice sound... I dont care how loud it is on that car as long as its not chainsaw rice sound if you know what I mean.... I searched this and other forums for peoples opinions on the CS sound and got mixed reviews. Also, I don't know how much louder a header/presilencer is vs. a stock exhaust man with RB pipe/presilencer combo. I dont see how the stock exhaust man could quiet it down that much compared to the header except for the flow difference. According to RB, the power diff is barely any.

I read about the pb pipe/presilencer combo, but I wanted to get rid of all the stock crap. The stock exhaust manifold seams to be a heat exchanger designed for quick licght off of the cats, no performance. If you want a nice sounding exhaust, make sure you get a quality catback. I knew it wouldn't sound great with jsut te header and presilencer, and am planning on a catback in the future. I just couldn't stand the exhaust leaks I had and lack of power.

Even only having an intake, bonez race pipe, and borla cat backs i LOVE the way my car sounds

down low (below 4k sounds real deep and mean)

i hit in the upper 5's and mid 6 range and the damn thing sounds well. sounds almost like an indy

it's got a real high pitch growl to it. Absolutly perfect... Hopefully with headers, it will sound even meaner. and have more high end grunt to the back wheels
