one piece of advice.

get rid of the whale tail and the rice taillights and you have a pimp car.
After shaving the emblems off the rear decklid, the taillight/license plate surround were the only black pieces left on the body of the car. It didn't flow with the rest of the car, reflectors, chips and cracks throughout the lens area, just looked bad to me so I allowed the auto shop some creative freedom on the area in question.

The spoiler, as I have said before, was a giant pain in the *** and would have never happened had I known all of the bullshit problems with mounting, sealing, shaping, and painting involved, however it's there now and will remain until its knocked off or blown up.

hey i was lookin at the pics again and dont forget to get that black piece that goes under the front lip of the bumper. that will save you some some trouble after being in parking lots. also for a more stock look you should paint the front grill flat black. whats the total for the whole project up to now?

Yeah, I'm getting the front lip, from a recycler, maybe a set of tails just to see what a good set of s5's look like(even though I hate the god damn reflectors)

The cost is approaching 20,000 which includes the price of the car used. It would have been more if I hadn't done as much.

How's your car running? good I hope

Rob, you still have the nice black rag?

The seats were so easy, I just stripped them off the frame and sent them out to use as patterns for the new ones. I got a great deal on the material and stayed under 700, not counting my time, (what ever thats worth)to recover the seats and install.

And yeah the taillight, rear spoiler saga continues. It's all good though, I didn't spend much time contemplating how I could make my car look like everyone else's. I understand the desire for some not wanting to fall under a label that catagorizes a style, but I really don't care about all that. One idea seems to spawn 10 other ideas which allows things to progress/evolve which is a much better concept in my opinion, Just wait until I unveil the schoolbus yellow turbo 7 front end melded with the 75 repu back end, that should make ppl pull their hair out in clumps!!!
