they usually leak really slowly and get that 1-2" buildup

What about the oil metering pump?

j9fd3s 01-21-2003 01:31 PM

I dont know excatly where its coming from but its that area

cymfc3s 01-21-2003 01:51 PM

sometimes its hard to tell, the fan usually blows oil everwhere

pengaru 01-21-2003 02:51 PM

could also be the bottom of the front cover, at the junction of front cover and oil pan. Especially if the pan has been off and reinstalled with the motor in the car, these bolts often don't get torqued right or the surfaces cleaned before reinstallation because the steering rack/crossmember close proximity.

Anything else there could be? Im going to order the o ring for the omp. I guess if that doesnt work ill try the e shaft seal. And last pengaru's suggestion if nothing else works.
