My RB 17# flywheel really hits the spot in my DD n/a. Very sensible.

Yup, the 12 lb is actually an 8 lb if you weigh it like every one else. Mazdatrix and RB include the weight of the counterwieght.. its priced like that too. if you price out the 8lbs flywheel and the couterweight, you get like 13lbs, so the rb stuff is cheaper even though its more money, got it? |

I have the RB set-up w centerforce dual friction, have had no mechanical problems so far, nearly 5000 duty-free miles.
LW flywheel sucks on steep hills if you have to stop and start again. Grapevinesque hills aren't all that fun either unless you are really scootin along. |

I think he means that once you factor in the cost of the counter weight, the racing beat setup is cheaper than others selling a comparable "8 lb." flywheel.
