Previous owner installed it. I don't know about a voltage drop becuase i don't have a voltimeter, BUT when the car gets really low in rpm or when i shut it off all the lights dim significantly.
You just need a 12v test light to check for a voltage drop... Hell if you see sparks when you connect the negative terminal with the car off you know something is draining the battery.

Well as far as I can tell there is no way this powermasters alternator will bolt up, where the rx7 alternator has ears for attaching to the block this one has a solid piece.... back to square one.

I got the exact one that 13BAce said he bolted up to his, he says it can be done, so I dunno still trying to figure out how to make it happen.

I went through all the powermasters, they don't seem to have an exact bolt up, this is the alternator that's in my jeep, but it's definetely not a direct bolt up.

You talking about Jims5543? I should have just looked at his LOL

im talking about 13b ace jim

I think he might have had to clock it, but other then that

he bolted it on, I believe in a parkinglot because he broke

down and had it sitting in the car actually

Yea I've been talking to him, it's the same alternator no don't know how it bolts up the adjustment side is totally different.

I did some further investigation on this one, it's anything but a direct fit, the only way I can see this bolting up is if you didn't have the bracket for the stock intercooler installed. As it sits, with my stocker its not possible, the bolt I have in the current alternator almost touches the bracket adding another 1.5 inches makes it impossible

**** well I ain't got the money, but at least it will fit my Jeep LOL

I thought they also made a FC replacement alternator

see if a local can rebuild yours and increase the amps
