Just bought a HMMMMer !
Back when Rotaries were first new I owned 3 . First was a R100 - a real sleeper! then a Brand new RX3 I purchased 2 years
after the model year for $2,699.It came from one of the several dealerships that folded when the MPG info came out on rotaries. After that I bought a Rotary pickup that I loved and drove for several years before going to a bigger truck for business. I have always loved rotaries for their linear power band. I ,30 years later, finally bought another Rotary powered
car but it is not a Mazda. It is a Rotus 7 powered by a 1990 RX7 motor. Unfortunately I won't have it for it has to be shipped
cross country first. I intend to autocross it next year. I believe it can be seen on Utube by searching for "Rotus killer Bee".
I look forward to learning more about it and rotaries during the winter. When I first had them there was little "aftermarket"
parts for them so I look forward to adding some this time around. It has already had a lot of work done to it -seller claims 220
hp which should move the 1500 lb car rather well. I will check back after I get it here.I look forward to some local get togethers in the Portland Oregon area next spring and summer!

As with any purchase of a used rig, there are issues.. After getting the car and driving it , have the same issue the prior owner had and that is that it is too loud! I believe in the receipts from the beginning it has had at least 4 mufflers including a Magnaflow. I have researched and have ordered a combo
of a Mazda Beat Pre-silencer and a "Pulse" muffler. The issue is that you can't run under the car -only out the side so to add pipe I am going to do a
dual U to get enough room under the fender to hang both before the rear fender. I don't think the looks will be great but Mazda Beat has assured me they
will not burn out as the prior ones have. With the additional tubing I will have about 3 1/2 feet of 2 1/2 " after the collector up to the silencer and then
18" or so from the silencer to the Muffler.. I am hoping to get it down to 80 decibels so I can at least drive it somewhat legally. Any suggestions?

I'm running nothing but a Borla XR-1 three-inch muffler on my car, but I understand the n/a cars are much louder than the turbos. I would think that with a Racing Beat pre-silencer and a good stainless muffler like the Borla, you'd have a combination that was reasonably quiet and durable.
