A friend blew up his engine and wants to get a turbo swop. I told him between his leftover good parts and what I had laying around we could **** together an engine to last a short time till he got his swop. And this is the perfect opportunity for me to practice porting.

I started with some plexiglass and traced out the origional ports than came up with a good baseline template to work from. Than i started to drill my holes for the bridgeports and cut away with a die grinder.

I'm still working on beveling the housings and need to figure out how to port the exhaust but hopefully we will learn something from this experiment.

motor is in the car. Got it started today. Only ran for about 2 mins. has a major vacuum leak that needs fixing.

Hard to explain how loud this thing really is. But I have a sixport half bridge that i thought was loud, but this beast takes the cake.

All it has is a 'muffler shop special' header and 2.5 inch exhaust running on stock s4 computer with turbo secondary injectors.

So I guess once the vacuum leak is sorted, and we get it running good, I wont be the only bridge port running on stock ecu in town. But mine is turbo'd so if we race, i BETTER be faster.

You only put the turbo injectors in the secondaries? Come on,put some thought into the fuel system at least, lol are you going to have a tow truck follow you around town?

Dont get me wrong I dont mind a budget buildup, but sounds like you need straightjacket.

So far so good. My car has been running a half bridge for 2 years on the stock ecu. just recently turbo'd it. Standalone is coming in a few weeks, but for now, i just run low boost. And i run a RICH mixture of alcohol for my alcohol injection.

Alcohol Injection > Intercoolers. Will never go back to an intercooler again.

As for the motor in the pics. We started it up again today. sounds really mean. Should be taking it out for a break in run this weekend. Will also try to get a vid of the cars running.

Ok fellas, I just threw a quick video together and put it on youtube. I had to build this engine twice because the first time I used a bad rotor. Dont ask, I thought I could get away with something.... Anyhow we are now in the process of breaking it in!
