So after leaving the car sit since I got it in October , Jim- 13bace ( from Jims's House Of Rotory) finished transplanting a new engine into the other 88 convertible I have! Everything in the car seems to be working now so thats a plus. I got the car with a blown engine and never had a chance to see if anything else worked in the car like switches, convertible top motor, etc.. The car is un-molested as well, needing some very minor body work like little tiny door dings, has perfect quarter panels and rear bumper, but Im going to paint the whole car anyhow mouldings, mirrors, tailights and all. Im kind of happy to restore another convertible.......anyone in the market for one? LOL

My only problem is I want to keep them all, I had thought about keeping the GXL, but what the hell am I going to do with all these cars? Sell them all and build a grand-poohbah TII for myself.

The Rx-7 is the slowest car I have ever owned, or owned. I think my Jeep might even be faster, even my girlfriends 2000 Galant is faster, and my Lexus is definitly faster.... I said to Jim today- "I love the car, but its so ******* slow, it deserves to be faster"

I've had 2 convertibles, and they were both very fast.
