I had some one ask me if this could work and i didnt know. I do know that the cooler the air the denser there fore the better. But what i didnt know is if you hooked up an intercooler to a na it would work. Turbos are pushing out alot of air. It seems to me that adding an intercooler into the line and the extra piping would decrease how much air made it to the engine on a na. Plus i dont see to big of a hp gain from this on a na. Anyone know anything on this so i can better answer the question?

It's funny you bring this up. I've got a Starion intercooler I've been trying to sell, but I was thinking that it would be funny to weld on a 180 deg. U bend on one inlet, with an air filter on it. And on the other inlet welding a 90 deg. bend. And then listing the thing on Ebay as the untimate cold air intake. I'm sure some rice boy would buy it.

How much were you wanting for it? im still undecided on if i want to go turbo or not but depending on that i might want it. But im sure you could get more money out if it your other way the ricers would love it.

when you compress air it heats up, so the intercooler is there to try and bring the temps back down to ambient. on an na you arent heating the air, so thats why you dont need an ic

$185 shipped to your door. I wouldn't be making a dime off of it. I bought it from Rotaryman88 about 9 months ago for $185 shipped.

I was thinking of trying to sell it for $300 if I made it the ultimate cold air intake, and all I'd have to do is buy a $20 cone filter, and $20 worth of aluminum pipe bends. But I would rather sell it to someone who would use it for an intercooler.

The reason turbos need an IC is because whenever air is compressed it heats up, and when you use exhaust gasses to turn the turbine to compress air, it gets really hot.

yeah i understand the reason for them on turbos. That all makes perfect sense to me. Just for some reason i couldnt figure out the other part till i started thhinking about it and then i read mikes post.

Ill let you know about the IC later.
