Pulling out the FTP lens will not do anything for cold air getting to the filter. There is too much **** in the way.

I got a K&N filter and adapter on eBay for $35. Brand new, good size filter, shipping was cheap. He has them on there all the time. Just do a search.

well then why do i see alot of peoples ftp lenses out

Like I say, I wouldn't buy a K&N expecting an hp increase, I have them in my rigs, but only cause I like the convenience of the lifetime filter, not because of any added hp or gas milage.

Yea just snag the adapter and filter off ebay, you can even buy the adapter and K&N filter set on ebay.

I have a k&n drop-in filter I can sell you if you want, for cheap... it's used from when I had the stock intake setup, I can clean it up and freshly oil it.

I also have a modified air box cover I can throw in if you want to experiment with it, it has the area covered with the MAZDA sticker cut out. On my NA it made a noticable difference, but the filter got dirty fast.

$250 seems like a lot for an intake to me.

Yea I mean if you give me the size I can order any size you want from K&N I just did it for a friend of Turbo II's last week and we get really good pricing from K&N.

Even if you just give me an inlet size I can give the various size and shape options.
