I want to add a K&N cone filter intake and build a cool air intake for my car. Wondering if anyone knows all the parts I would need. Was going to buy one from Mariah but I can build one if I know the parts. Figured I would just start with the filter and build the box later. If anyone knows clamp size and filter n part number let me know. Also if any additional parts (different MAF sensor) I would need..

Thanks.

You won't need any other parts really since you have the 89+ NA...just get the filter and a regular screw clamp...thats it, lol. The pre89s had to use mounting brackets and screws to hold the AFM and filter up. You can just go to the parts store and pick up a cone filter from ANY company really...personally I have yet to see a difference between a $50 K&N and a $20 APC, lol...

Any generic filter with a 2.5" outlet will do fine. Take measurements just to be sure.

Just do what I did, Go to K&N's website and they list CUSTOM units with the measurements and CFM flow. I went for a 8" unit with the correct opening size to bolt to my intake. Cost me $50.

On my daily driver I picked up a HONDA cold air intake and cut the pipe to fit (Sorry non-Mazda), but the whole thing was $59 with the air cleaner (Sorry non-K&N).
