it goes to the air pump, you need to put a little filter on it

mike
yeah the K&n intake has a lil hole on the side that the airpump hose goes to. Ive decided to put a lil breather filter that you can buy off any autoparts store for liike $6.00-$8.00. Check out the pic

Or you can attach the little filter right to the air pump and ditch the hose or you can ditch the air pump all together.

i like it with the hose and the lil filter right there. It keeps the K&n company so when it gets dark under the hood it has a companion

I dont know if you guys are familiar with A&A Auto Parts but its a chain around my area that has damn good prices on NGK stuff (around $5.50 per BUR7's and 9's) They also have good prices and next day delivery on lots of performance parts like M/T slicks, etc. Its the only local chain I found that can compete with online pricing.

You can get the air flow meter adapter for $4.50 on ebay or the basic intake kit which is the adapter and a cheap cone filter for around $10-15 on ebay last time I checked. It doesn't include that mini filter though and the filter element is not very good. For the minimal power gains, I dont think its worth paying $150+ for a K&N or HKS kit though.

I got screwed. I could have gotten the plate for 5 bucks and the filter for 20.. Oh well, i guess that what i get for being dumb and buying it when i was an FNG to Rotary's
