Installing Resistors
#1
This weekend I'm going to be installing fuel injectors in my 10th AE. I bought the 720cc top feed injectors and 2 resistors from Rotary Performance(rx7.com). The car is an 88 and as I understand it uses high impedence injectors and the injectors I bought are low inpedence, so I need to install the resistors also. But I have no idea about how the resistors are supposed to be installed. Can somebody help?

What I did was i got a plastic enclosure normally meant for small electronic devices. I then bought four male and female connectors. I took off the lower intake manifold, stuck one end of the probe to teh connector off the harness, put the multimeter in resistance measuring. Opened up the passenger foot well, unpluged the ecu. Probed each pin of the ecu until i saw zero resistance. I cut that wire, isntalled the female plugs on the end closest to the end of the connector, male connector on teh oppsing end. Did the same for the 2nd injector. Installed female and male ends onto the leads coming out of the plastic box which houses the resistors. Then I just plugged them in. CLosed up the passenger side foot well. installed the new injectors and bolt everything back up.
All connections were soldered, and all were heat shrinked where applicable.
Good luck, your mileage may vary, anything you do is at your own risk.
