Now I know why FC3S has pics of this installed with the motor out! It turned out to be much more of a bitch than I thought it would. The pedestal is really nice and well made but for some reason I couldn't get the stock pedestal studs in far enough so I had to use my own 10mm bolts and putting it in with the oil pressure and temp senders was a pain. If you are going to get one of these, I'd recommend removing the clutch slave and the rubber fuel lines above the plugs.



My oil pressure is reading 25 psi at idle and around 65 psi at full throttle at 6Krpm. I am not sure if this is normal or not. It's an Autometer Phantom guage... how accurate are those?

your oil pressure sounds normal, did you put oil temp in?

I didn't get the oil temp guage in yet... I'll do that tomorrow.

i got the pedalstal too.. i'll be installing it in when i pull the engine out... what i did notice is that there is a lot of aluminum burrs around the threads and on the pedalstal itself... MAKE SURE YOU CLEAN THE BURNS OUT... get a wire brush and brush the threads or seomthing...



what i also noticed is that oil that goes up the thing in the middle (very technical term) which has threads where the oil filter screws onto... the hole in the middle isn't really in the middle... its lobe sidded to one side... oh well... i'm just a picky guy... it will still work though...

Mine didn't have any noticeable aluminum burrs. I do think the threaded holes for the studs on mine were not drilled exact though and that's why I had to use my own bolts. With the stock studs in, one was off at an angle enough to where it wouldn't sit flat on the engine and I was concerned about it leaking. From what happened with mine and yours, maybe the initial batch had some minor defects.

Overall, I'm happy with it... still worth the money I think.

Not to **** on anyone, but the RB adaptor is a piece of cake to install and is made perfect.

lol, thanks for the tip! I wish I knew that last weekend when my hands were torn up and my lower back was seized after 5 hours!

Sorry, lol, the RB one has been around for ages so you know its good. The hardest part is getting to the original 10mm bolts under the oil filter if you dont have a small 10mm wrench.

Im sure the next run of adaptors fc3s makes will be better.

heheh, yeah those were the biggest pain in the ass.... to think I have 3 tool boxes full of tools and no ratcheting wrenches! And forget getting even a 1/4" drive ratchet and socket under there!



I never have the tool I need.... I buy them after a project that I'll probably never do again!
