Does anyone make inserts for the plastic passing lights cover, say metal mesh covered, to increase cool air into the engine? If not, I'll just try to make one myself and use a fresh air headlight cover.

How about a cold air induction system? Any good hp gains, other than looks.

I dont think too much air will get past the radiator support to aid in cooling, and I say again, like I always say- new FTP lenses look sooooo nice.

Thats because you are the coolest of the cool. To further answer you question aggie, on a N/A, there really isnt any need for any more air to come into the engine compartment, if your running hot, something is wrong, and a cold air intake is a waste of time as well on a N/A. I would be curious as to ANY actuall horsepower gains on ANY car with a cold air intake, it seems to me that the guys who get paid big bucks as engineers to design cars and engines, would have put that in there if they thought it would improve performance. The factory air intake on a N/A RX-7 is a big deal, if that all could have been replaced with a tube, they would have done it. Its in my opinion that any advertised horepower gains with one of these air intakes, are bullshit, and if they are true, then they probably tested the car with a shitty dirty air filter, then did the mod and dynoed the car, to find they gained 3-5 horsepower, even a K&N will only flow as good as a new stock air filter, the idea is that it will flow better over time then a stock one will. Same goes for aerodynamics and cooling, people think because something is a aftermarket bumper or hood, that it MUST be better then original, meanwhile the factory probably did hundreds hours of windtunnel testing to get the car to where it is, then some guy from no where makes a bumper/hood that LOOKS functional, and people think its better then what the factory engineers spent millions of dollars designing. Until one of these guys puts the thing in a windtunnel and tests it, I think its all bullshit......ok, im off my soap box now, lol

I guess if you dont have a hookup for the part, they seem like a waste of money, but it was the best thing I spent $90 on for my car, the 2nd best $90 was the new belt mouldings for the windows, lol, techincally I didnt pay for either as my friend owed me some favors anyhow.
