Could someone tell from experience, what size injectors fit into the secondary rail without modification.ie, what are the largest sized injectors i can install into the standered fuel rail? With having larger injector´s, does a resistor need to be installed too?

What is the max size injector the S-AFC can control?

Many thanks

John

small o - ring Japanese fuel injectors like nippondenso makes will fit into fuel rail, top feed injectors. Some injectors as they get bigger, they change and will not fit in to rail.

I think the largest yet you could go high is 720cc top feed unless you get them ported to flow more like rceng.com does.

If you have the stock ecu, you have to worry about impedence, they have high or low impedence so it doesn't matter how big or small they are. So depending on your system depends if you need a resistor.

I think anything bigger than 720 or 1000 cc would be hard for the safc to control if you have to turn it down a lot for low end driveablity.

So using the stock ecu, or at best an FCON, would i need low or high impendance injectors? Which type would not need a resistor? So you reckon i should be able to fit a pair of 1000cc into the secondary fuel rail? Who would supply them?

Sorry, you didn´t say that 1000cc would fit into the fuel rail. Jumping to conclusions here. As i would only be interested in changing the secondaries, what are my options?

an 88 uses high impedance injectors, so you may need to add resistors. the fcon cant handle bigger injectors, thats one of its limits. greddy sells drop in (except for impedance) 720cc injectors, i think hks does as well.

For the price of an FCON you can get a haltech e6k and not worry about resitors and limits.

What is the biggest injector can a stock S4 T2 Ecu handle? With a piggy fuel controller?I heard you can run up to 1000cc with a APEX-i fuel controller. Is there any truth to this.

the stock ecu is setup to run 550 x4 injectors it wont really handle anything else.

With a S-AFC is it possible to run some 720's?Looking at options here.
