OK first a little about me. i'm sure theres probobly a "newb" section, or a "introduce yourself" section, but i'm into 2nd gens and 1st gens so i figure this is the best place for me.

My name is Justin. I've been into rx7s for a while now. I've wanted one since i was 16 (i'm 21 now). i got a FB (or SA whatever) for free a few years ago. It had a rotted gas tank, i never fixed it i just gave it away and never drove it. we did get it to run and shoot alot of flames tho (using a bucket of gas and a fuel pump hahaha super safe). But that car is the one that started it for me. I looked and looked but never ended up buying another rx7. something like 30 cars later....

And present day. I just bought a FC (1987 GXL) from my buddy's cousin. I'm in love! Even tho this is my first REAL rx7/rotary i have worked on FCs in the past and my best friend has a FB (1982 GSL) that i've drifted and just had alot of fun with, and my buddy owns a shop in oakland that i'm going to be working at. And i have another buddy with a race FB and a super fast cosmo (13B-RE) powered FD. I'm a piston head by origination, but i LOVEEEE rotor motors. this FC makes #38 of cars that i've owned, and my second rotary. I've worked on ALOT of cars and have gone to school for mechanics (and i'm about to start working at a shop on mostly rx cars and porsches), so don't be afraid to get technical with me, i'll get it(hopefully).

so my first real question. i was at the junk yard today and there was a S4 base model with a COOL "GT" center emblem/cap on the steering wheel instead of the mazda one that mine had. So i took it. has anyone ever seen one before? is it rare? or just cool? cause well i like it and think it looks cool, but i've never seen one before, but i've also never done much FC junkyard hunting. here it goes:[attachment=34997:attachment][attachment=34998:attachment]

funny how i've been on this forum for a year already but never posted. and for some reason that GT logo looked real OEM... i was thinking maybe its from like a 323 GT or something? i dunno...

THANK YOU! its the cleanest car i've had in a while. I'd been stuck on the "primer is finer" mentality for a while. I just sold THIS car, to buy the rx7:

Disclaimer: I do not watch initial D. This was done as a joke to poke fun at hachi guys. I got the idea after drinking a few rolling rocks and having spray paint readily available.
