Okay i finnaly got the t2 motor in to my car and i tryed to turn on the radio i got nothing. Then i tryed to turn on the window wipers and the turn signals but non of these would work but the hazards, headlights work. I checked the fuses and non were blown. I also notice that when the key in turned to the on possition non of the guages worked< Ikow that only the volt and the fuel should have moved but non of them did. I don't know if this matters but its the s4 na wire harness pluged into the s4 T2 ecu.

I will assume driver side harness is the S4 NA since you are talking about headlights and things not working straight so...check ALL connections just to be safe. grounds, powers, yadda, yadda, you get teh picture. is your main fuse blown by any chance? did you check the fuses under the hood on the driver side strut tower? They may have a little corrosion on them (looks like a flakey substance) that is making them not function properly. Check relays. Main relay, headlight motor relay, headlight relay, flasher relay, all that stuff.

Also, make SURE plugs in ECU are grounded. there should be a ring terminal on the driver side harness leading through the dash and out into the engine bay. it needs to be ground. Also, any other grounds MUST be grounded or it will cause something to not work. is your battery charged? hook up a charger temporarily while trying to get accessories and things to work.

Just keep it basic until you absolutely have to resort to ECU trouble. make a friend of your FSM and a DVOM too. hope this helps, happy rotating

You and me both, I just did get spark on my NA S4 -> T2 S5 swap turned out that I had the wrong coil packs installed from the tear down (they were bad)

You may go ahead and try the other ECU just to double check. it will not however support the passenger side accessories unfortunately. Good luck

ok, little beyond me here, but...

if this were my old chevy truck, I'd be 100% sure it was the starter. mainly the starter sylonoid (sp?) and the wires leading too. the reason being is that the headlights and emergency flashers are hooked to the battery, not the ignition (thats why they work even when the key isnt in) everything ignition related runs through the starter somehow. (I dont have a wiring diagram infront of me so thats the best I could explain it)

might need someone to back me up on this one though.... whaddyall think?

good luck and happy huntin man.
