The "body electrical" section of the FSM has the color codes for the stock audio system.

I just used them as a guide when splicing in my CD/MP3 player.

i found out what i did wrong... damit i feel stupid... i connected the cd player ground wire the the last wire on the harness i had not used... the ILLUMINATION wire, i guess i didnt even check to read the wire it was so late i just figured... ok i got 2 wires left, so, BAM, ground. nope guess not. so i just disconnected the illumination wire and ran that ground to chassis. all fixed now.
