Hey everybody. new on here. first rx-7 and she's fighting me every day. 1988 convertible 13b n/a. having an ignition problem and have hit a wall. I have spark in both leading plugs and one trailing plug, but don't have spark in the other trailing plug. the crank angle sensor tests good, as well as all the coils. just replaced the problematic trailing coil and still have no spark. maybe its the ignighter on the trailing plug? just before this problem arose i had a heater hose rip and replaced it. any help would be greatly appreciated. i'm starting to run out of ideas and so is my haynes manuel. also, if anyone knows a shop in georgia that could check my ignighter i could greatly use that information.

so you still got no spark in the other trailing? see if you can get a new ignighter or a good ignighter if someone has a spare in your area

finally got spark. X.x so simple. thanks for the advice though. i appreciate it. i am having a bit of trouble with running a little bit rich, but i think thats because the owner before me took the air/smog pump off and made no modifications to compensate.

if its running too rich it could ruin your cat (if you have one)

your going to to need a new cat if the gas burnt the hell out of it and your flooding issue could be leaking injectors

yeah. right now i'm trying to find the mounting bracket and belt tension adjuster for the air pump. X.x apparently no one has them. i figured i was going to have to replace the cats anyways. the guy i bought the car from has had it for 18 years and i think the air pump has been off the whole time. the injectors are my next step.
