Yeah, my friends tell me i was spitting fire one time. All i recall was loud backfiring. But, when i tried doing it on purpose it wouldnt happen. Plus ive noticed that it depends on the outside temperature. If it was too cold it wouldnt do it.
I just have to have my rpms above 4000, and I let off the gas for a second, then just blip the gas a little... and POP! out comes a flame.

Or if I hit my rev limiter in 1st I'll spit a nice flame.

so you mean to say that you can shoot flames from your exhaust without the help of a misfiring system? interesting, my friend has a 87 non turbo, ive never seen flames.

THA EASIEST WAY TO DO IT IS RUN A 12 VOLT WIRE FROM UR POSITIVE SIDE OF UR BATTERY, TO A SPARK PLUG IN UR MUFFLER. PUT THA SPARK PLUG IN UR MUFFLER LIKE HOW UR O2 SENSOR IS ON UR HEADER. MAKE SURE U PUT A TOGGLE SWITCH ON IT TO TURN IT ON AND OFF . ONLY TURN THA SWITCH ON WHEN U ARE REVIN UR MOTOR CAUSE IF U HIT THA SWITCH WHILE THA MOTOR ISNT REVIN THA BACK PRESSURE WILL SUCK THA FLAME UP TO UR MOTOR AND BLOW UR *** UP!! SEE THA WIRE FROM UR BATTERY CREATES A SPARK FOR THOSE GASES WICH MAKES UR FLAME

as for the flames i wonder if thats what they did in the rice and the furious or did they just have cool *** cars.

one more, even if you did get large flames to shoot out of your muffler(s) wouldn't it melt you bumper?

I'm not looking for some huge inferno to come pouring out of my tailpipes, just for them to light up a little would b cool. As for that garbage in TFAF, that was just plain ridiculous and would rather not have my exhaust doing something like that.

I used to have this 1993 Ninja zx-6r with a jet kit, yoshi pipe, and zx-7r engine. That thing when revved up high would shoot flame like a fighter jet. It would come out about 2in all blue and orange, it was so sweet!!!! I was just hoping to re-create that effect.

This is how i use to do it with my 1st gen, first you get going good put the car in nutreal and trun off the key pump the gas a few time and then go into second and pop the clutch. i use to throw flame about 10 to 15 feet. Use to really **** off the cop because most of the time they were behind me when i did it LOL. Have fur i hope it works.
