I wouldnt let them touch DICK on the car, you can bring your car to ANY body shop

and have it fixed, dont even go back there AT ALL.

If you are letting the insurance pay for your repairs YOU will get the check in the mail, not

them, go to a body shop only, you telling me no one you know can reccomend a body shop that wont rip you off? I would even consider a complaint to the better business or the local DMV office, the DMV does license shops in your state right? Register a complaint with them, you never know, others may have also complained and its shops and people like that who need to be stopped.

The ******* mechanic and the service writer probably work on commission and are trying to rip off a kid like yourself, you said your a small kid, so they probably think your some stupid little kid with his first car who doesnt know anything, **** those cocksuckers and dont dare bring your car back there, they MAY go so far as to damage your car on purpose by running it out of oil or overheating on purpose, sugar in the gas tank, or some **** to get your engine to blow.

I hope you do the right thing and NEVER go back to that place again, REGISTER A COMPLAINT!

CrazyAssRX7 12-15-2002 11:11 PM

ok first off, dont go back there second off for a tranny, i can get the nonturbo tranies for about 200 maybe a lil more in pretty good condition

whats this **** about 9000 $$$??? do you look like a woman, cuz they sure must think u r that dumb, dont go back there and get a rotary pro to check your car and maybe give ya a tune up on your engine, could be all

Shane.Trammell 12-15-2002 11:15 PM

Just bought my car yesterday so i might not know too much. Aren't the engines supposed to smoke when it starts or did I buy a bad one? Engine sounds clean when I start it and deffinatly takes off!!

Shane.Trammell 12-15-2002 11:47 PM

yeah they smoke a little due to the oil being on the surface of the rotors

Seppuku 12-16-2002 12:00 AM

Mine doesnt smoke unless theres water in the pipe or its cold out

If the insurance is paying for the body work take it to a mazda dealership so everything is done factory. If they put the $9000 quote on paper you could always turn them in to the BBB. I would get their business license pulled or at least get them investigated by a local news station.

Factory?

Very few dealerships have thier own body shops, most of them use a shop close by. Not like Mazda factory trains people to do body work on the cars.

Its like my friends bodyshop, he does the work for the local Porsche, Audi, VW dealer, people bring thier cars to the dealer, and they in turn drive them down the street to him, when he is done they pick up the car at mark the bill up by at least 20%

With the age of his car, its probably in his policy that they can put aftermarket parts on the car instead of OEM parts anyhow. I would say that the vert came with a aluminum hood which you cant get aftermarket and maybe they will go for the factory parts, with some policies if the car is old enough its the insurance companies discretion to put USED parts on the car if they can track them down. Read your policies CAREFULLY!
