it goes on the top of the engine, there is a little cover it goes on there. it doesnt really matter as long as its grounded

Where excactly is that cap and whats it look like?

I believe it goes on the bolt that holds on the inspection cover on the back of the motor, the one you remove to inspect the flywheel/clutch/pressure plate...





it's the kinda brownish / surface rusted sheet metal piece on top of the engine near the oil filter, the bolt that holds it on:

no, thats part of the ignition circuit, it's called the 'condensor'.

It goes from leading coil w/ignitor to ground.

yes it just has to be grounded, the cover deal is an inspection plate for the the flywheel and the rear main oil seal. IS there anything inside the little plastic case on the wire though?

actually that starter plate is also where they used to put the starters in the rx2's and 3's, they just never got rid of it
