Thumbs up

I have an 87 rx7 single turbo with the ram air induction hood and ever since I bought it I've had problems with it. It drove for about 2 1/2 months and went to ****. I'll put pics up soon of it. But for now Here's what it does when I start it. When I start the car I have to keep my foot on the gas to keep it going. It sounds rough as hell, the turbo won't kick in, and when I checked the oil it smelled like gas so I changed the oil and filter. I haven't tryed to start it for a while now. It has white smoke. Any suggestions of what it I need to do to fix it? I don't know much about rotaries that much. I just started to learn. I'm a newbie. Please hook me up with help. If you can you can e-mail me at MetalguitarJames@hotmail.com Thanx

first of all do you hear any vacuum leaks. check the turbo inlet duct the pipe going to the turbo to see if its cracked. also pull the spark plugs and crank the car make sure you hear LOUD even "whooshes" those whooshes are compression if you are missing a whoosh that is very bad. where are you located ?
