Well, I went and looked at the 10th AE yesterday. The thing is in ok shape. It runs like crap though. I think that my vert is faster. :frown: The car has a lot of little dings down the body (I expected that on a 14 year old car). The paint job is a real cheap, crappy one. And the car was missing the stock black lether seats. :frown: It just had grey cloth seats. The carpet is in good shape though. I think I'm going to offer him $1500 for it. I hope he takes that offer.

Now I have a question or two, When does the stock turbo reach full boost? The boost guage wasn't showing any boost untill about 4000 rpm (although it does have an exhaust leak between the turbo and manifold). And would that exhaust leak cause it to run like **** when it is under boost? Because as soon as it is boosting it would get all bogged down, and kind of buck a little. I'm going to take it to a mazda shop this week, and have them check it out to see what else might be wrong with it.

do a compression test. exhaust leak will cause that extra turbo lag.....

Wow, how did you find out about that one? The closest one I have found for that price was in Oregon, but it had a bad motor. Good luck, let us know how it goes.
It is right up there in Marysville. :tounge:

You gotta be kidding me? WTF! I have not seen anything that cheap in the paper, autotrader or online that was local. There was one that sold on Ebay a couple of weeks ago that said it was from WA. It had 190,000 miles on it with one rebuild. The picture looked like it was taken at the Arlington Airport but I wasn't sure.

I think it sold for 2850.00.

Damn, oh well I hope it works out.

This one hasn't been listed in any papers or anything. The guy that was letting me borrow the exhaust told me about it.

I'm taking it to get inspected tomorrow.

The 10th AE.

Well I took it in, it needs a new intake manifold gasket, one of the oil metering lines is broken, new shifter bushings, and a new turbo/manifold gasket, but that is about all that is wrong with it. It had a engine fire at one point and time, but there is no real damage to anything. I think that is why the engine had been replaced.

So I'm going to go pick it up this sunday! I finally got boost! I am ending up paying $2150 for it.
