it is made from fiberglass and it is not hard to mount at all. I just located the mounting holes, made a few of my own and had it up there. Hell the install as shown only has four bolts holding it up.

here is a pic of a hood on my car recently. It needs to have excess lass from mold trimmed but I put it up there for the hell of it.
