Here it is, every wire correct, and every connection double-checked...now for the oil lines! MWAHAHAHAAAA!!!
|
how did you anodize that stuff blue ?
|
looks nice, now get it running!
mike |
how much longer u think until u have it done? looking good btw
|
Whenever the oil lines get here is when it'll be able to be started. I also need the 2 bar map sensor before i drive it. everything else is fine...brakelights dont work either,lol..but oh well. thats nothing.
Vosko, those blue parts are a result of a little testing we were doin for this paint I found at an autobody shop...its more or less just hitemp paint that hardens really well when heated..i would like to either powdercoat or anodize it later though...still the paint looks good for now. |
Also, I plan on getting a fully port & polished FD manifold and greddy elbow when i get front mount...I'm a sucker for shiny things https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/happy.png

HRM....your engine looks a lot smaller than mine, or rather your engine bay is less
cluttered or sumthin, looks different :P gunna go out and see if i can get A/C crap off now....what all does that entail?! thanx be4 hand for the help! i know my refrigerant has been updated, but prolly isn't any in it, since the previous owner said it leaked so he cut the belt :P |
The a/c really isn't that big of a deal...just depressurize the system, if needs be...and remove the pump & lines. That's the simplest way really...however, I took out my ducts and vents inside and just ran lighter plumbing(that hose stuff) so I can still have defrost and heat...dropped prolly 10lbs in plastic,lol...I'm gonna work on something to replace the logicon too...it weighs a lil bit more then i'd like...i know it sounds like nitpickin...but i try to save anywhere i can!
|
Oh...and the enginebay looks less cluttered due to no emissions parts as well https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

I have an FD manifold sitting in our shop at my buddies house...I havent polished it yet though. I got it for free https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/cool.png Hey whats up with manifolds/front cover, is it just painted? or did you not buff it? It doesn't look like chrome....
|
get that rust off your pulleys! https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png looks good..now get it running!
|
Well....the front cover & such aren't chrome...just very clean. The block is brand new and came with fresh black paint on the I-housings and nice silver paint on the R-housing & front cover...very clean block. I would have polished the front cover...but you see that little white seal across the main pulley nut...if thats broken, the warranty on the motor is void, so I couldnt take the cover off,lol...
As for the rust...I HATE IT, but I'm getting a new waterpump and powdercoated pulleys soon, so it's all good...not to mention..once i remove the power steering, that entire bracket is com'n off! |
