i have read a few different reason that could cause hot start up problem ,injectors, vacum leak or clog, but i know that mazdatrix sells a part for 52.00 that from what i understand runs a toggle switch from the fuel pump so that you can turn the fuel pump off when stoping the car and so when you try to start it it will not be flooded then you switch it back on allowing fuel to flow to start the car . i know this is not a proper fix but one that would allow me to save for the very expensive injectors .

I WAS THINKING OF JUST GOING TO THE STORE AND BUYING A TOGGLE SWITCH AND WIRE AND DOING IT MY SELF ANY THOUGHTS OUT THERE ON MY SITUATION???? ANY HELP WOULD BE GREAT

uh huh.. yea you can do that.. just need a switch that interrupts the power to the fuel pump.. just let it idle till the car dies.. flick the switch and start it up..

so what's the caps for?.. you're all calm and collected then you start yell'n about doing it yourself?

I thought the thing that Mazdatrix sells bleeds fuel pressure back into the return line. I may be wrong though, it has been a while since I've read that.

Oh, and I have a switch wired up into the +12v to the fuel pump. So far it has worked great. I just flip the switch off when I go to start the car, then flip it on when the car starts up.
