Keep that baby in pristine condition. Everybody already mentioned the mods I would've, so as far as preventative maintanence goes, stick with that. 1,000 bucks won't get you very much, especially if you're looking to "maximize" your N-A's potential....try racking up about 3 more G's.....

Don't abuse her too much, that's for sure. Stick with what'll work, don't push her too hard....besides, verts were made for cruisin! ^_^

RX-7 specific wet nitrous kit on SummitRacing.com is $500. Afer completing all of your maintance to the vehicle, this will be your cheapest power adder.

Anybody ever try 4.10s on an auto trans? I wonder what it would do.

You should educate yourself more on the subject before you discount it. Nitrous mearly adds addtional oxygen into the combustion chamber. With proper tuning, nitrous will not ruin your motor. Just as with a turbo, you need to ensure the motor has the proper amount of fuel for it to work properly. Wet kits inject additional fuel along with the nitrous to ensure you are not starving the motor. Nitrous is the cheapest "bang" for your $$$ as far as power adders go. With only $1000 to spend, I would add Nitrous, upgrade my brake lines, fluid, brake pads, fuel pump, and add a header. In addition I would complete the TB mod/emissions removal and make sure all of the standard maintence items are up to date. The next step beyond that is to swap in a T2 motor, harness, and ECU.

you would need to find 4.30, verts come with 3.9 already

basically it boils down to how much you want to modify the car

versus keeping it original. If you do everything very carefully

( which most people dont ) and you can return it back to stock

should you want to sell the car then go for it.

Otherwise I can tell you that verts sells best stock.

You can buy a GXL or any lighter coupe RX7 and you can

go nuts with that one, or buy a TII.

and as much as you may hate to hear this- never mind the girlfriend,

if you start that **** now it will only get worse, unless she is the

one who payed for the car, do with the car as you please.
