I don't know about you but playing with electronic gadgetry from the 80s is kind of scary. Anything electronic that I can replace with something more current I have done, and am doing currently.



I still have my stock alarm module though if anybody wants it. Free! It was working fine but interfered with my aftermarket alarm, so it had to come out.. Dunno if perhaps the module itself you guys are having problems with?

 

The stock alarm is sensitive to the doors, hood, ignition, lock position sensor, and hatch. If any of the door pins are shot it wont activate.

 

It seems to activate fine when I get out of the car lock it and then open the trunk and shut it..

try cleaning the door pins, sometimes on my vert I have to push

the plunger in and out a few times to get the alarm to activate,

I figure the pushing in and out fast cleans it up.

Went off at 3:20 AM, I couldn't hear it, ******* neighbor were pounding on my door all pissed off. I told the guy I was sorry and he started tearing into me, so I told him to get over it, **** happens.
