Okay so I am doing a complete TII swap for my car.
Here's a list of parts I need, I think I got all the parts I need for it listed, Let me know if I am missing anything: TII Tranny, DriveShaft, Rear End,5Lug Conversion, (cause 5lug is hot) Don't need the CPU cause I am going Haltech Standalone. Uhm, I can't think of anything else? Help me out guys!!! |
a TII engine might help too https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

turbo II throttle cable! since your going stand alone you dont need alot of the electronics...
youy need the t2 half shafts off of the diff |
I count the halfshafts as part of the rear end.
TII motor I am working on aswell.just awainting funds. TII Throttle Cable I suppose will help, how about the dash? |
If your using a standalone, you won't need to mess with the dash. Just keep all the interior stuff the same...
The biggest issue w/ the swap is the electronics really, so you should be fine w/ standalone. And yea, swap to 5 lug, that makes my 4 lug turbo more rare :P |

In that case I'll stick with the 4 lug, but I'll go with a Brembo Big Brake package or something uber like a Williowood lightweight setup :P |
So does this seem to be a good shopping list to go out for?
TII Tranny DriveShaft Halfshafts 5lug setup Differntial Haltech e6x with flying lead and MAP sensor (how big a map sensor?) and FMIC. Anything anyone wishes to add to this? |
t2 clutch slave clyander, and t2 starter, then t2 cruize control parts if you want it to work right. an upgraded fuel pump as well??
|
Lol, thats fine... i have my custom BBK .. porsche 6pot!
But yea, i'd start with the list you've got, then figure out what else you want to swap over, a lot of the NA stuff will "work" but for 100% just keep plugging in the T2 stuff.. |
That's what I planned on doing, I appreciate all the help guy's! I want to do this right the first time and have a schwack of issues rather then doing it wrong 4 times and still ending up in the same boat!
Starter New Cruise I don't want Clutch Slave Cylinder? Didn't realize there was a difference? |
Skip the Front Mount, Get a TII hood and keep the stock IC.
I dont know jack about the Haltek since I havent gotten that far into my car yet but will it replace the boost/vacuum sensor? If not the youll want that and what about the MAF? Does it replace that also? Swap out the instrument cluster unless you are going with aftermarket guages. and then rub it in to all us TII owners that have those heavy ass lumps in our roofs. |

I want the FMIC And the Hood but we'll see about that later. Why swap the Cluster if I am going with a Haltech Unit? Boost vaccum Sensor not sure I'll deaql with that when it comes to that point. as I can buy that stuff new. |
the top mount IC is ineffiecient past 10 psi you want a front mount for better intake temps, its safter and makes more power with colder air

front mount the top mount!
thats what im gonna do... strip it down and mount it in the front (back a little so it doesnt stick out like a sore thumb), make the car look very unassuming https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png no sunroof, no turbo wheels, not turbo hood, rear wiper, emblems... |
FM is fine as long as you can get sufficeint air to the radiator.
Like I said about the gauge cluster, Youll want it if you arent putting aftermarket gauges so you have at least some idea of how much boost you are pushing. |

That's why I am thinking about V-mount setup, I seen one or two, but I don't know about how to go about doing it? Anyone know? No worries about the gauges, I'll be making a custom pannel for all that stuff anyways..... All aftermarket, what do you guys think are some of the best A/M gauges? |
