Hello all,

I have been lurking around here and learning for a while but haven't really posted. Now I feel I kind of have to. A couple of nights ago I got a phone call from someone who I hadn't spoken to in a long time. I had lost his number and it was good to hear from him. He is a pretty awesome guy who had a pretty awesome Turbo 2. Long story short, he is moving on short notice and just GAVE me his rust free series 4 FC (I live in MN so rust is more common than not.)

I will try to post pics this weekend when I get it to a more permanent place.

It is however not without problems. It is fully dead, as it has been parked for 1-2 years and he claims that it has a bad side seal(s). I am waiting for him to mail me the title then planning on completely rebuilding the motor. I plan, at this point, on buying the full rebuild kit from Atkins.

What I would like to know is, having not pulled anything apart yet, is there anything else I should absolutely be replacing with a rebuild that I may not be getting with the kit? With some nissans, it is recommended to replace timing chain guides for example. Any advise would be lovely. I am very much looking forward to driving this car in the spring and I hope my buddy would be proud that his car is back on the road.

Thanks in advance,

Chris
