I've been waiting on my FC since september.. I was waiting on an ACT clutch that finally came in. I had problems with getting it here, but now it's finally here. I also had the Apex duals installed. It sounds pretty good. I have the silencers but I'm most likely not installing them.. it isn't real loud to me. Right when my clutch had to be replaced it was a pain to switch gears.. I mean just sitting in neutral and going through the gears was just very notchy to the point of mayhem.. well that same notchy, aggrivating problem still persist.. I didn't realize until I was on my way home.. (I was too thrilled with driving it after so long..) Anyways, I don't know what to do.. what do you guys think is wrong with my hard ass shifting?? https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683561.gif I really need some help.. I'm going back to the shop tomorrow to pick up my bill.. and I'll definately mention it to him then. But I wasn't sure what to call it or what would have to be replaced so it would shift like it's suppose to.. any help guys?? https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683894.gif She was so dirty.. I mean just pathetic... but I gave her a good washing. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png I gotta go to work now to show her off. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683473.gif thanks alot.

Shifter bushings maybe?

Rob x-7 03-24-2003 06:13 PM

did you try adjusting the clutch? That solved the hard shifting problem I had

when I got my other vert running.

that and the shifter needs to be filled with oil.

get a bushing kit, replace them and drain the old oil and change it... you might as well drain the tranny while at it.....i'd say its a 2:00 job

try all the above and if it stiill does it. you need a tranny rebuild or swap to a good one https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/wink.png

Oh ok, thanks alot guys. I thought it was be the bushings.. but not sure.. I hope I won't need a tranny rebuild.. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/ohmy.png

I forgot, I already had a new bushing installed.. so, I'm guessing it's probably something to do with the transmission..

try adjusting the clutch, you only need a 10mm wrench the adjustment is

right behind the clutch pedal.
