Is there any way to tell if an engine was rebuilt bye looking at it. I'm looking to buy a t2 with an engine that was supposedly rebuilt but I doubt that the owner has paperwork. If this is the case, is there anything that I should look for? Thanks in advance.

usually they rebuilder stamps it, if its a mazda remake, it will have a blue stamp/tag on the front cover, otherwiser look at the top of the housings, on the spark plug side.... They usually stamp the year..
