Thumbs up

an excellent specimen of a TII. super low miles (@ 46k).

i read that i should drive in the 3800 rpm range for the secondary injector 'hesitation'. what gear? should i redline any/all gears?

any starting anomilies to look for?

any feedback will be appreciated. thanks all.

check for leaks. funny noises. make sure it pulls nice and smooth. check the boost guage to make sure it works and it has boost. listen for wheel bearing noise. check the exhaust if its original will need to be replaced soon..... check the clutch give it WOT in 3rd and 4th gear. see if it slips... let the car warmup and turn it off and see if starts up easily.... umm what else LOL

start the car cold see how much smoke it puts out. drive it around, do the brakes feel ok? pull? does the suspension feel wierd? firm? how is the power? does it idle consistently? when you get back turn it off, and try to restart it. then pop the hood and look for leaks, use your nose do you smell coolant? oil? gas? on a car with no leaks you wont smell anything

thanks for your input. i'll definetly do the re-start test. the owner said there's a small leak in the brake slave cylinder. do u think i should drive the long trip from ga to ny with this leak? (please say yes...)

just stop periodically and make sure you dont run out of fluid

The brake system doesnt have a slave cylinder. You sure it isnt the clutch slave cylinder?
