how much oil

how much oil does an rx7 turbo 1989 take bought my car recently and it has no dipstick i just wanna try and get it going so wondered how much oil i should put in

cause i dont know how much is in so im going to drain then put fresh stuff in

also what sort should i get

When I had my 1988 I would use 4.5 qts for oil and filter change. It was non turbo but I think they take same amount for oil change.

I second 4.5.



I always put in 4 full quarts, then checked dipstick while intermittently adding 5th quart, so somewhere between 4 and 5.

If it still has the oil metering pump. (and it still works) DON'T FORGET TO CHECK THE OIL WEEKLY!!!!
