88 Vert - Around 3050 - 3100 lbs. (I've pulled a lot of **** out)

10TH AE - A little over 2700 lbs.

Both of those weights are without my fat *** in the car ( I weigh about 220 lbs.)

hehe i got a lot of sh*t out too, like no ac, alum flywheel, even lighter piping (only 12lbs worth though) trimmed off a lot here and there. no spare tire, no flip up lights (converted, to non-flips, looks like nothing else out there, cuz i use camaro lights off a 95, but yea its lighter) uh lighter radiator, took out clutch fan. etc. i got it down to around 2500. maybe less, havent weighed it in a while. if i decide to convert to a turbo, im gonna have to take out passenger seat to offseat the new weight.

the only weight addition i've done is a 500watt subwoofer that is strapped down in my trunk.

WEIGHT REDUCTION!!! NOT WEIGHT ADDITION! who wanted to add seats?!?! ludicrous!

Just out of curiosity, what kind of fan have you installed instead of the clutch fan? :dontgetit:

oh just a bigger/better radiator fan. with my new radiator (lighter too) its enough to keep my clutch and engine cool.

I was asking because if you had a fan without clutch and without flexible blades, it would cost you about 10 HP at high RPM, more than the weight of your fan clutch. Just as an exemple.

My '88 SE w/ turbo conversion weighs 2420lbs with me in it! I've removed a bunch of stuff, and my car was an SE w/ no power options, so it only weight about 2600 to start w/. After I have the rollbar put in, I'm sure I'll be back up there in 2500lbs area...

I don't know, but it sure feels heavy as hell. Sometimes I get the impression my 1st Gen was faster because my T2 feels so hefty.
