i pay about 600 a year for my fc. Which is too much really, i rarely drive the car. I wonder if i could get collector car insurance for my car.

That's about what my dad would be paying per year if I put the 7 on his insurance instead of getting my own. I don't know why he can't understand that idea. I'll probably have to sit down and talk to him about the whole thing, right now i'm mainly running all of this through AIM

I turn 21 in two days, have a speeding ticket and I pay $45.00 a month on my N/A, but my agent said it would be the same if I got a TII.

**** it, i'm just not gonna get a new car. Everything that's decent is too much on insurance. On top of that comes car payments, my rent, food, and books. I shouldn't be this depressed about it, but I am https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub..._DIR#>/sad.png

Welcome to reality. No matter what, somebody will always be getting your money. Do you have a job? I would hope so. I wanted my parents to put me on theres also. But it is an easy way to start paying a bill. You pay that bill early or on time, you will start to develop a thing called credit. It will pay off in the long run.

Just suck it up,bend over and get raped by the insurance companies for the rest of your life.

No job yet. Full time student. I'll have a job over the summer and during school (hope I can balance time well...)

I found a company that will insure my vert for agreed value

$8000 and its $250 for the year with full coverage, limitation is

something like 1500 miles for the year.

they are strict in giving collector policies, you must meet

the following:

usually the car MUST be stock

must have a locked garage to store it in

be anywhere from 25-27 year old and being licensed more then 5 years

have a car registered and insured in your name less then 10 years

old for a daily driver, for each member of the household actually

of course a squeeqy clean license

they actually asked me for pics of the garage, pics of the engine compartment

and interior, and they reserve the right to send someone to my house to inspect.

If you have any out of state relatives get the car, and get something to show that you live at that adress(like a credit card or something) and then get your liscense in that state, get the car registered and insured and that could bring you rates down because insurance varies price wise from state to state. Also if you know somebody with a state or federal job, you could probly get insurance from them that would be a lot cheaper.

I live in Jersey and everybody get raped on insurance but me cause i live on a farm in the Pinelands so I get some state insurance. Was $800 every 6 months for my 87 t2 under my name with no points at the time.
