is there any sort of defroster setting or something like that that can mess up the ac?

i cant remember, The way everything happened i didnt have a chance to familarize myself with the different controls. Could that have been a problem? The red light was on as mentioned before and it was turned to cool and the fan was set mid way.

If it is that carbed car you had pics of i didn't notice any A/C on it.....

If you had it on defrost or floor you wouldn't have felt as much cool air.

Go back, with the car sitting, turn the A/C on, look under the hood and see if the compressor is running, then if its running, get in the car, and with the selector on face, which shouldnt be too hard to figure out considering there is a picture of a head there, see if cold air blows upon your moderator haed ( sorry had to throw that in to bust on bigtime ). Press that little 'A/C' button, the light may not work, and press the button next to it, that re-circulates the air for maximum A/C effectiveness. If all this is working, and there is no cold air- there is a problem, if the thing doesnt come on at all, there is probably no freon in the system, on the hard A/C line there is what looks like a tire valve thing, press the middle of it in, if freon shoots out, then you know it is a electrical problem, if it has a electrical problem- BUY THE CAR, ITS A TRUE RX-7! :P

yeah and put the fan thing on high bc middle doesnt really work too well

hmm i think i got it figured out now but not sure couldnt get the keys to turn it on. Aparently even if it is your car and you havent paid yet thay dont trust you with the keys. go figure.
