How to clean up CPU wiring?

I have noticed alot of people with standalone EMS have new wiring everywhere, not just for the ecu but also the cpus wiring. Did u guys just rewire all that **** or get rid of what wasn't needed?Did u take it apart? Its old nasty and im relocating my battery to the rear so i wanted to clean that **** up. What should i do?

Well i pmed some guy on the other forum and he told me he took apart his old wiring harness and got rid of everything he didn't need, so are there any wires that are not plugged in that i would need for other purposes?
