I put them in my car after replacing the T/O bearing, so by comparison, they were easier than breathing.

the long throws can also be fixed, but that is a little more painful to the wallet, I coughed up the $200, and I have to say, it was worth it, though I needed the part anyway, I broke the locater pin guide on my old shifter.
