LOL...gutter thread...are you putting a mustang gearbox in you rx7..i have heard of this conversion (shooting the **** with some old skool street racers) and what are its benefits. Other than a stronger gearset. I only know hewland's..but they are way to expensive for me

Yup, got a little 3/8 in drive impact and a u-joint! Gotta have a u-joint, then a scredriver for the funky bolt at the top and you need a nice long extension.

Ah, only time I came close to the transmission on one of these was when Jim was putting the engine in my other convertible and I helped him snug the bolts up.

when i replaced my clutch it took me 2 days to put my tranny back in. im such a loser

Yea like I say, I have done it a few times, I have the removal to under an hour and it takes me about an hour or so to get it back in.
