Ok so this S5 n/a I am picking up, the owner told me sometimes when its hot the car doesnt want to start right away does this mean low compression? or is that a worst case issue. I think engine might have some carbon build up the owner was a older female that would only drive the car a day or two a week.

Lol, I'm going w/ low compression

I just dont think a car that has "hot start" issues that is completely stock would be anything simple to fix... i mean, the injectors could be BAD, but dunno...

I like my low compression answer better...

How many miles on the engine?

Certainly could be compression, but I like the leaky injector theory. The injectors don't need to be "bad", they just need to be a little dirty.

I wouldn't assume low compression with that mileage, unless the engine was overheated or otherwise abused.
