Wow... That is not an easy clutch to drive. Especially shifting out of 1st and into 2nd the transmissions/driveline gets unloaded so quickly that it makes the car shake.

Setup is spec stage 3, spec billet aluminum 8.8 lbs flywheel. Quite interesting. Only have taken it around the block. Hope it will feel better once it gets broken in

i had a 6puck, sprung ceramic/copper clutch, stock flywheel

that bitch does NOT like being slipped, its possible but it fights it hard. I still have it but dunno if its still got meat on it or not cause its hard to tell, unless its just me.

i daily drove a act unsprung 4 puck act pressure plate and act flywheel... the hardest is reverse because of how high you have to rev the motor you cant fully get into the reverse gear without hauling ass

i have the act 6-puck ...i've gotten so used to it i can slip it however i need. still bites hard.

the revs drop fast with the aluminum flywheel. What is the thought on life span if you have to slip the 6 puck coppers a lot. Say parallel parking...

CrassFC3S 07-01-2005 08:59 PM

hmm... well i know my 4 puck's life span was 9 months, abusing it ALOT and i dont know when it was installed by the previous owner, so it wasnt that bad if you only have to throw a clutch in once every year.. if you really need a 6 puck replacing it once a year isnt bad lol

wtf? replacing a clutch every year? that is not good.

teknics 07-02-2005 02:27 AM

bleh i had to replace my centerforce dual friction clutch like 2 weeks after i put it in, the thing exploded into shrapnel.

i had decent results with the 6 puck one on ebay believe it or not. I just cant tell how much meat is left cause im stupid https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png. but i had it on a while, it didnt like being slipped tho it would screech a little bit when ya did it. but boy did that **********er grip.

like i said wiener i dont know how long it was in there but if you really need a clutch like that its going to go through some abuse is it not???? well get a clutch in a high hp car and beat the **** out of it constantly and lets see how long it lasts... a year is fine
