couldve sworn the s5t2 i picked up was rated 90a

checked the ol alt.. twas in fact rated 80a

have an ol series four alt as well and thats rated 70a

The Cosmo alternator is rated at 90 A. So it looks like Mazda kept upgrading every few years.

Yeah, I would like to see one on the car.



I use a FD alt now. I get them at a good price. Factory rebuilt w/ 3 year warranty. $135 Comes with the stock FD pully and bolt.



I can look into getting more, if anybody needs them.

how many amps is the GM alternator? Hey phins once you figure out which one it is PM me.. I need one bad for the vert.. I have all the crap for a kick *** system now but I need the electrical juice to support it..

that one bolts right up? It looks like a different design then the stock one.

My idea of bolting up may be different from the average person's. If I remember correctly, I bolted the thick mounting ear(far side) to the water pump and the thin one to the stock bracket. You'll need standard bolts to do it, unless you want to modify the bolt holes of the Powermaster.
