i was out tuning on tuesday, got the idle almost perfect and tuned on boost up to 10psi. Came home and when i went to drive it the next morning it was idling at 2k when warm, 1500 during warmup. When i got home the idle was normal but now its at 2k. My tps value at idle reads .84V, i can't seem to find what the problem is. Anything else is smooth, just idling high. During warm up its 1200-1500 then as soon as it reaches 80C i get it idling at 2k. Anyone have any idea what else i can check? Its an 88 Tii engine with a tecII.

That is strange, I am unfamiliar with the tecII. Did the just start happening or did you do something then it started?

yeah, I was also wondering about the BAC...my T2 had a high idle at one time and I was able to tweak it a bit by messing with the BAC screw...

Also, this might be silly...but does your throttle cable have enough play in it? and its not hanging up on anything? This also played a part in my high idle...causing it to stick at 1500 at times...But maybe the throttle cable is rearranged differently with the TECII?

And who is that middle girl in your sig!

I am using a GM air idle controller motor to meter air for idle and hotstart. That girls is a friend of a friend in new orleans. The problem seems to have fixed itself, but i'm sure it will be back.
