I dont know if you were at sevenstock, but there was an FC done up to look like a police car. That was set up for top speed, NA. Was talking to the owner and he said it did 18X in 3rd with tranny broke so couldnt shift into 4th. Think it was Bonneville where he ran.

thats awesome, anybody have a link to that car online? im shooting for slightly higher speed NA than that but id love to see his combo

If a certain other forum wasn't down there are a bunch of sevenstock X picture threads and most of them have a picture or 2 of the car. It has the smooth disk hubcaps and the lambo style doors.

if the tire size is what you are really using, i calculate a max speed of just above 260, though maybe you took coefficient of drag into consideration (i'm not sure what you're looking for, <.20? <.15?)

good luck with the motor..this is a great place to get help when (not if https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...) you have probs w/your motor. 8k shouldn't be hard to do...actually, if you want NA, go get a Renesis, 9k rpm stock https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.gif

With a balance (on everything... ie. rotors, e-shaft, flywheel, etc.), stationary gears, a port job and enough gas and O2, you should be able to turn 14k rpm... love rotory's for that "Conservation of Energy in Rotation".

But I love your train of thought, simple is better. And I say go for it! The record has only been set there to break it!

thanks for the good words guys , theres not many people that like to support a project like this. But like i said in the post after the one where i listed the tire size i posted the wrong one, but i could run 27's and thats what i would probably do . thats why my speed calc. was a little off but thats only with a 2.70 gear, most guys run like a 2.08. As far as drag is concerned id like to go as low as possible but another guy i know had this design, p-38 is what ill probably end up running. And it was around .16, ill let everybody know how it goes, im doing the chassis in CAD right now and ill post the overall design as soon as its done, probably be a few days though. again thanks guys
